ROYAL MAIL - DELAYS & BACKLOGS update

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - DELAYED ORDERS
In December 2022 our shipping courier ROYAL MAIL took a series of Industrial Stikes. These strikes caused unforseen and unprecedented delays to many businesses across the UK and unfortunately affected many Sloppy Joe Clothing orders throughout the month.
Specifically after Black Friday, a huge Royal Mail backlog of packages built up at their Heathrow International Depot (Langley).
We dispatched orders in good faith in time for Christmas deadlines, they were collected by Royal Mail but many didn't update onto their tracking system and the tracking reads 'We are Expecting It. Sender is Preparing Item'.

Some orders dispatched 29th November are still to be scanned onto the system. Royal Mail assure us they WILL arrive and apologise for the huge delay, as do we. Please be assured we are doing everything we can our end for updates. We are reassured these parcels are not lost just severely delayed at this point for which we are devasted by the delay and apologise to all affected.
We deeply thank our American customers for their understanding and support during these challenging issues.

JANUARY 2023 UPDATE

On January 10th 2023, Royal Mail International was hit with a Russian Cyber Attack. All orders dispatched that day are temporarily held up as Royal Mail works on resolving the issue. Royal Mail temporarily ceased shipping Internationally and all Sloppy Joe orders in the UK are further delayed  in their journey, whether dispatched this month or in the Black Friday backlog whilst Royal Mail deal with the Cyber Attack.

We truly thank you for your patience and understanding until Royal Mail gets the network moving again.

1/2/23 - Update - Royal Mail has started dispatching Internationally again  and is slowly clearing the backlogs. This week orders placed Nov 29th, Dec 12th & January 10th have started to be scanned on to the network and are leaving the UK. We understand orders should should be on the move any day. Each day we track orders more have been scanned on to the system. For anyone still waiting our gratitude for your kindness and patience during this issue is immense.

Moving forward as we seek to resolve the Royal Mail 'stuck' parcels, to prevent any further delays for our trusted US customers we are switching courier to FEDEX with immediate effect.
With a 5 day arrival time from UK dispatch

NOTICE FROM ROYAL MAIL INTERNATIONAL EXPORT SERVICES - 25/1/23

Following the recent cyber incident, Royal Mail has now resumed international export despatches for all mail streams including parcels and letters across a growing number of international destinations (FRANCE, GERMANY, HOLLAND). We are making good progress in despatching items that are already in our network across all of our services. Please note you may see less tracking information than usual as we continue to restore our services. At this time, we continue to ask customers not to submit new parcels for export, and we will update further on service resumption as soon as possible.

Royal Mail continues to work with external experts, the security authorities and regulators to mitigate the impact of this cyber incident, with a focus on restoring all services for export letters and parcels. Our import operations continue to perform a full service with some minor delays. Domestic services remain unaffected.

We’re sorry for any disruption this incident may be causing. Our teams are continuing to work around the clock to resolve this situation. We will update customers as soon as we have more information.
