COMPANY
PROFILE
Sloppy Joe Essential Clothing is designed and manufactured
by Jackie Harris. The company has been established since 1993 and
is entirely manufactured in the UK.
Jackie started off working in fashion as a model, and then became
involved in importing vintage jeans etc. from the United States, and
this became the original Jean Machine store in the Kings Road.
She then moved into the selling side and worked as a freelance agent
for Betty Jackson, Rococo Knitwear and Maxfield Parish.
After a brief working period with Muscle Sport, she was asked by Winterland
Productions, the merchandising company in San Francisco to work as
a freelance designer for their rock tours, and Jackie spent 5 years
working for them designing the merchandise for over 50 World tours
including artists like Tina Turner, Prince, Yes, Michael Jackson,
Eric Clapton and Madonna.
After many years of designing for other companies and travelling around
the world, she decided it was time to design her own range of clothing.
This began with the first Sloppy Joe retail shop in Barnes High Street
SW13 in 1993.
Since then the company has expanded to incorporate retail and a mail
order service, and was untill recently situated in White Hart Lane, Barnes
SW13. |
